Rules

Even though rules may seem tedious after coming back to them site after site, they're what sets a stable foundation for Read My Mind. Please take your time to read them. Somewhere, you'll find the password you need for your application.

GENERAL

• Respect. It's needed. If I see anyone being rude to another member, staff or not, they will get a warning, and if the bad behavior continues, a ban. Rude behavior will not be tolerated. Even if you are harassing a member outside of RMM and if we hear about it, doesn't matter. Same rule applies.
  
• Cursing. Is allowed. Just don't direct it to another person. That would be breaking rule one!
  
• Do not post links to other forums outside of the advertising boards. It's fine if you put the link on your profile as your website, but please don't post it around where it doesn't belong.
  
• Act maturely. Don't get into fights.
  
• Follow Proboards TOS. If you don't, it could get us all in trouble. If I see these rules being broken, you will get a warning. If the behavior continues, you will be banned.
  
• No trolling. As I said before, act maturely. Trolls will be dealt with as, well, trolls.
  

ACCOUNTS

• You may have as many characters as you want, but each character must have its own account. It makes things easier to keep track of. Staff may have an extra account to do staff-things on. Fancy staff-things.
  
• The maximum size for avatars is 100x100, and the maximum signature size is 550x300. Please do not go over these limits, or it will stretch the forum.
  
• Once you make a character, please change your account name to the character's full name. The only exception is for staff on their staff accounts.
  

CHARACTERS

• We accept all type of roleplayers. If you're new, PM one of the staff and they will help you out.
  
• There is no limit to how many characters you have, but we do ask that you keep them active. At least two posts a week from each would be appreciated, if not more. If you can't be on for a while, post in the Absences board so that we know.
  
• Absolutely no power-playing. Godmodding is out, too.
  
• Just like above, mary-sues are also banned. They're just as bad as godmodding.
  
• No text talk! The words you should put in your application are rebel diamonds. The site standard is past-tense third person. Literate writing, please.
  
• Do not post any sort of roleplay until your character is accepted. The thread will be deleted and you will be warned.
  
• There really isn't a limit to what you use as your face claim, as long as it doesn't look silly. No real-life pictures, but pretty much anything else is acceptable. We allow cartoons, anime, video games, manga, and even your own drawings. If something is questionable, come to us about it first.
  
• Please look at the claims before creating your character. If a name or face claim is taken, don't use it.
  
• If you want a high-ranked character, such as a gang leader, you need to ask one of the admins first.
  
• No nekos, furries, or animals. If your human character has a dog, that's fine. But don't just play the dog.
  
• No magic.
  

IN-CHARACTER

• The minimum word count for a post is 300 words, but it would be great if you went higher. I can understand writer's block every once in a while, but a good few hundred words aren't that hard to throw out there.
  
• Proper spelling and grammar is required. There is a spell check for a reason.
  
• Again, no godmodding. This means that you shouldn't kill off another character without the other person's permission.
  
• Nothing over PG-13. If you're going to go into something sexual, either fade to black or take it to PM. As for violence, we're not as strict, but don't go too graphic.
